a journey of creative connection
My name is Lucy and this is a space to share my creative journey of connected living while I wander and weave around the British Isles in my humble studio-on-wheels. My intention is to inspire and support others who are seeking a simpler, richer, more creative life, whether it be on the road or firmly rooted in one place.
On my travels, I design and make a range of items from natural fibres for home and human using responsibly sourced sheep wool and plant fibres from across the British Isles. See my gallery page for a quick glimpse of the handmade pieces I design and create.
I’m based in the beautiful valley of Teesdale, County Durham, however, I also spend time stravaiging in the Lakeland fells of Cumbria and the coastal nooks and crannies of Dumfries and Galloway.

Why stravaig?
Stravaig is an Old Scots word which roughly translates as to wander without a set destination. For me, it encapsulates a less rigid way of moving through life, perhaps more like a spontaneous dance inspired by who, what and where we encounter, rather than a planned, rigid march through the daily routines. Life lived in this way is an evolving conversation. I welcome you to join me on the way.
In my journal you’ll find more musings on life on the road, what it’s like to live a semi-nomadic life, the ebbs and flows, and the creative journeys I’m currently exploring. Click here to read.
